On Track Wisbech is proud to announce that we have been awarded the Eco-Schools Green Flag with Merit for the 2025 academic year, a recognition of our pupils’ and staff’s hard work, creativity and commitment to protecting the environment and supporting our local community.
This year, pupils have been active in saving water, installing water butts, monitoring electricity usage, and proposing practical changes that have cut the school’s power bills in half! Their dedication has also shown up in community work: over the last year, pupils have picked up over 15 bags of litter in the neighbourhood, and their request to the council for a new bin has been granted.
Science tutor Ewan McConnachie said, “Seeing the students take ownership has been incredible. From saving energy to caring for our streets, they’re learning that small changes add up. They should be proud, and we’re already aiming even higher for the distinction award next year!”
