On Track Wisbech marks World Mental Health Day with activities for staff and students

13 Oct

To celebrate World Mental Health Day, On Track Education Wisbech dedicated the day to raising awareness and promoting wellbeing across the whole school community.

Staff were provided with helpful information about the support available to them, along with a goody bag as a token of appreciation for their ongoing commitment and care. The team also took part in a wellbeing session, which included a light-hearted quiz that revealed some surprising and funny facts about one another! The morning concluded in the school’s ‘Tea and Talk’ room, a calm and welcoming space to relax, unwind, and enjoy some chat time.

Meanwhile, pupils took part in a series of interactive activities designed to encourage open conversations about mental health. They completed true or false quizzes to challenge common myths and stereotypes, as well as questionnaires to share their thoughts on the support they receive in school. Their feedback will play an important role in helping On Track continue to strengthen its mental health and wellbeing provision.

Diane Woodward, School Manager for On Track Wisbech, said:

“World Mental Health Day was a wonderful reminder that mental health matters for everyone, and that taking time to talk, listen and support one another really does make a difference. We’re proud to be building a school community where wellbeing is valued and everyone feels supported.”
