On Track intervention
On Track Intervention is part of the On Track Education group and provides targeted, specialist 1:1 and small-group intervention support for children and young people who may be struggling to engage in mainstream education. Based in Dartington, our provision works flexibly across school, home and community settings to re-engage pupils, build resilience and address barriers to learning.
the role
We are seeking an Intervention Support Worker to deliver high-quality 1:1 intervention support for vulnerable children and young people. You will plan, deliver and evidence structured intervention programmes tailored to individual needs. You will act as a trusted adult, supporting pupils with complex social, emotional and behavioural difficulties to improve their wellbeing, engagement and aspirations.
Key responsibilities include:
· Planning, delivering and evidencing structured intervention programmes
· Undertaking and updating appropriate risk assessments
· Supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs to access learning
· Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence
· Creating safe, purposeful environments for intervention sessions
· Maintaining accurate and detailed records of progress and impact
· Contributing to behaviour management plans, personal development plans and risk assessments
· Attending or contributing to multi-agency meetings and preparing reports when required
· Building professional relationships with families, carers and external professionals
· Transporting pupils safely in your own vehicle (insured for business use) in line with On Track policies
· Working collaboratively within the wider On Track team
about you
You will be a compassionate and resilient professional who is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.
Ideally, you will:
· Have experience working with children or young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs
· Can build rapport quickly and act as a consistent, trusted adult
· Understand safeguarding and prioritise pupil safety at all times
· Be confident managing challenging behaviour using positive, relational approaches
· Plan and deliver structured intervention activities tailored to individual needs
· Maintain clear, accurate and professional records
· Work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
· Communicate effectively with families and professionals
· Demonstrates emotional resilience, patience and professional integrity
You must:
· Hold a full UK driving licence (minimum two years)
· Have access to your own vehicle insured for business use
· Be willing to travel and work flexibly across settings
