On Track Education Westbury is celebrating after Ofsted confirmed that the school meets all the Independent School Standards, recognising its strong safeguarding culture, ambitious curriculum, and personalised approach to supporting young people.
The inspection praised the school's commitment to helping students re-engage with education, highlighting the confidence, resilience and life skills pupils develop during their time at the school. Inspectors recognised that students feel safe, valued and understood, enabling them to enjoy learning and achieve positive outcomes.
Safeguarding was identified as a particular strength, with Ofsted recognising the school's "open and positive culture of safeguarding", where students feel safe, and staff work together to ensure every young person receives the support they need.
Inspectors also praised the broad and ambitious curriculum, noting how it is carefully tailored to meet each student's academic, social and emotional needs. Students benefit from personalised learning pathways that enable them to achieve a wide range of qualifications while developing valuable life skills, confidence and independence.
The report recognised the school's success in improving attendance and behaviour through highly personalised support, with staff building strong, trusting relationships that help students overcome barriers to learning and thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Leadership, teaching and staff expertise were also highlighted as key strengths. Inspectors praised the school's dedicated team for delivering engaging learning experiences, supporting students' wellbeing and maintaining a culture where both pupils and staff are encouraged to succeed.
The inspection also commended the school's strengthened careers programme and extensive enrichment opportunities, helping students prepare successfully for adulthood through workplace experiences, cultural visits, sports, charitable projects and practical life skills.
